Pelvic floor physical therapy is a focused, evidence-based form of care that supports the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue at the foundation of your core. But your pelvic floor doesn't work in isolation, and Brandi doesn't treat it that way.

At Nest, the approach is whole-body. Pelvic health is the focus, but every session looks at how your body is functioning as a connected system. The goal is care that helps you stay healthy, move freely, build strength, and function at your best.

Sessions are one-on-one, and private. Time to listen, time to assess, and time to build a plan that's actually yours.

who brandi works with

Nest Physical Therapy is a Staten Island practice founded by Dr. Brandi Childs, DPT, dedicated to transforming access to pelvic floor physical therapy. Brandi built Nest to move beyond traditional practice settings, prioritizing comfort, privacy, and a genuine relationship between provider and patient.

Her philosophy is whole-body. Pelvic health is the focus, but the work treats your body as a unified, interconnected system. Strength, function, and freedom of movement are all part of the picture.

Our partnership exists because her values match ours. Rigorous, personal, and never one-size-fits-all. Bringing Brandi's care into our Staten Island studio means clients have another way to access her work, in a space that already feels like home.

what brandi's clients are saying

“Working with Brandi during the first few weeks after having my baby was such a blessing. I had four sessions with her, and they truly laid the foundation for a smoother recovery. She shared so much valuable knowledge about getting back into exercise post-pregnancy. Beyond that, she also supported me with other aspects of being a new mom, like breastfeeding and more, which was beyond what I initially sought help for. It was definitely an investment worth making.”

Katie J.

"Working with Brandi during the first few weeks after having my baby was such a blessing."

“Brandi is not only an expert in her field, she is kind, empathetic, and passionate. After giving birth to two children, my body confidence diminished and she has been able to give me the tools to heal my Diastasis Recti. We need more therapists like Brandi in the women’s health field. She is a rare find and true gem! You won’t be sorry.”

laura M.

"We need more therapists like BRANDI in the women’s health field. She is a rare find and true gem!"

tina M.

"Brandi is extremely knowledgable and caring, always going above and beyond for her patients."

FAQS

A thorough conversation about your health history and what brought you in, a movement-based assessment, and (if you consent and it's appropriate for your concern) an internal exam to evaluate your pelvic floor muscles directly. You're always in control of what happens during the session.

What happens during the first appointment?

No. In New York State you can book pelvic floor physical therapy directly without a referral. If your insurance requires one for reimbursement, your doctor can provide it after the fact.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Nest Physical Therapy operates out-of-network. They can provide a detailed superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. The Nest team will walk you through this at your first appointment.

Is this covered by insurance?

Yes. Prenatal pelvic floor therapy is one of the most common reasons clients work with Nest. It can prepare your body for birth, address pain or pressure during pregnancy, and set you up for a smoother recovery.

I'm pregnant. Is pelvic floor therapy safe?

It depends on what brought you in. Some clients notice meaningful changes in 2-3 sessions. More complex issues take longer. Brandi will give you a realistic sense of the timeline at your initial consult.
