Pelvic floor physical therapy is a focused, evidence-based form of care that supports the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue at the foundation of your core. But your pelvic floor doesn't work in isolation, and Brandi doesn't treat it that way.
At Nest, the approach is whole-body. Pelvic health is the focus, but every session looks at how your body is functioning as a connected system. The goal is care that helps you stay healthy, move freely, build strength, and function at your best.
Sessions are one-on-one, and private. Time to listen, time to assess, and time to build a plan that's actually yours.
Nest Physical Therapy is a Staten Island practice founded by Dr. Brandi Childs, DPT, dedicated to transforming access to pelvic floor physical therapy. Brandi built Nest to move beyond traditional practice settings, prioritizing comfort, privacy, and a genuine relationship between provider and patient.
Her philosophy is whole-body. Pelvic health is the focus, but the work treats your body as a unified, interconnected system. Strength, function, and freedom of movement are all part of the picture.
Our partnership exists because her values match ours. Rigorous, personal, and never one-size-fits-all. Bringing Brandi's care into our Staten Island studio means clients have another way to access her work, in a space that already feels like home.
Dr. Brandi Childs earned her Bachelor of Science from Towson University and went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Touro College in Manhattan. After spending 10 years treating orthopedic patients, she transitioned to specializing in pelvic health physical therapy.
Dr. Childs is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Certified Exercise Specialist (PCES) and a board-certified Pelvic and Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (PWCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is deeply passionate about empowering women to understand their bodies, achieve optimal health, and maintain it for life.
In addition to seeing patients privately with Nest, Brandi is a full-time Advanced Clinician at JAG Physical Therapy in Eltingville where she is currently accepting patients.
Booking here through Long Core reserves your appointment. All payment are handled at the time of your session directly with Nest Physical Therapy, who'll guide you through the rest of your care plan.
No referral needed in New York State. You can book directly. Nest operates out-of-network and can provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement.
“Working with Brandi during the first few weeks after having my baby was such a blessing. I had four sessions with her, and they truly laid the foundation for a smoother recovery. She shared so much valuable knowledge about getting back into exercise post-pregnancy. Beyond that, she also supported me with other aspects of being a new mom, like breastfeeding and more, which was beyond what I initially sought help for. It was definitely an investment worth making.”
“Brandi is not only an expert in her field, she is kind, empathetic, and passionate. After giving birth to two children, my body confidence diminished and she has been able to give me the tools to heal my Diastasis Recti. We need more therapists like Brandi in the women’s health field. She is a rare find and true gem! You won’t be sorry.”
