A boutique Pilates & wellness studio centered on intention, expertise & building Community.

Where Community Meets You.

Where Movement Meets Mindfulness.

Long Core started with one goal: to create a space where movement feels intentional and enjoyable — not rushed, intimidating, or chaotic. We wanted a studio on Staten Island that paired smart instruction with a setting that actually feels good to be in.

Designed with a background in high-end architecture, the studio has a calm, refined atmosphere that lets you breathe, slow down, and focus. It’s a place to reset, reconnect, and move in a way that feels clear and grounded.

In just four years, that vision has drawn more than 1,200 clients — and grown into a tight-knit, supportive, and family-like community in Westerleigh. This isn’t just a place to take class. Long Core brings people together.

our story

The Long Core Approach

Our instructors bring deep knowledge of anatomy, breath, alignment, and functional strength. With precise, supportive guidance, they help you develop a stronger core, better mobility, and improved posture — while cultivating a mind-body connection that lasts far beyond the studio.

Whether you’re an athlete, navigating injury recovery, building foundational strength, or simply seeking a moment of calm, our method helps you move with intention, challenge your limits, and build resilience.
Mindful Movement.
Intelligent Instruction.
Real Results.

Christina is a true Staten Islander from a tightknit food-loving Italian family. In January 2019, she started a new life journey towards health, fitness and overall personal wellness which resulted in weight loss success and strength gain. Her journey at Long Core Pilates began as a client in March of 2022, with her instantly falling in love with the practice and the studio. This in turn led her to the Kane School and an apprenticeship through Long Core Pilates. Alongside her day job working in the legal industry, she now balances teaching Pilates, being an aunt and spoiling her cats.

Nicole is a mom of two who had a love for Pilates long before becoming a mama. When her second child was a few months old, she knew she needed Pilates in her life once again. Pilates is her therapy and she knows that there is nothing quite like the mental relief one finds after taking a Pilates class. After coming across Long Core Pilates, it only took one class to know that she not only wanted to take more classes, but she wanted to teach it to others. Her goal was to share that same mental stress relief she experiences after every single class – not to mention the strength and positive body changes that comes along with it and surely helps when chasing and lifting two toddlers! She loves living a healthy lifestyle, being anywhere near the ocean, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and date nights with her husband at their favorite restaurant. Nicole strives to instill the importance of movement and living a healthy lifestyle in her children, as well!

Nicolette is an HR executive by day, and a poet, intuitive coach, and Kane School trained Pilates apprentice by night working towards her over 800 hour certification. Having faced the profound complexities of losing a loved one to suicide, while grappling with grief, depression, and an OCD diagnosis, Nicolette immersed herself in a variety of healing practices. From SSRIs and therapy to reiki and nutrition, she explored every avenue for healing. Pilates, in particular, became a transformative practice, helping her ground into her body, quiet the noise of her thoughts, and create a deep sense of connection to herself. It became a space where she could release emotional and physical tension, cultivate mindfulness, and reconnect to a sense of inner peace. With a deep passion for mental health advocacy, she now blends her expertise to foster growth for the mind, body, and soul, empowering others on their own transformative journeys.
