I’ve been going to the studio for a couple of months now and cannot say enough about how positive my experience has been! Christine makes the classes both challenging and fun, and I never have to force myself to go – I would go every day if it was possible. Christine is a phenomenal teacher, and if you’re lucky, you will get to meet her dog, Lucy 🙂

After COVID and lack of exercise, I was looking for a challenging routine, something to motivate me to get back in shape.

I joined Long Core Pilates and love it! There are several different classes and something that I’ve never done before….bodhi suspension (4 point ) classes that are amazing, challenging and for all ages!! I’m 61 and just started bodhi. I look forward to my workouts and the new challenges that come with each class.

This studio is a must!

I started going to Long core after I endured a knee injury and couldn’t keep up with my normal cardio/HIIT workouts. I was looking for something that was low impact but effective in helping me tone and loose fat. I have to say it was the best decision I have ever made! The mat classes are so much fun and the instructor Christine is absolutely amazing, she is so patient, positive, and educates you through every move. I highly recommend the studio to anyone looking for a fun, effective , mind/body workout.

The extensive knowledge of injuries and how to adjust training accordingly makes it both safe and challenging.

I can’t say enough great things about Long Core Pilates. I have suffered for years with hip/leg issues. Chrissy listened to my unique problems & created a series of corrective exercises that have started me on the road to healing & mobility. I am forever grateful to her & highly recommend her to anyone looking to begin a Pilates program for strength flexibility.

I had very little experience with pilates when I reached out to Longcore Pilates.

Christine, the owner and teacher, was responsive, friendly and very helpful. It was super easy to schedule a class with her.

My first class was fun, personalized and got me back in touch with several muscles I forgot I had. After having four babies in seven years and then spending so much time sitting during remote learning with my little kids over the past 18 months my core had disappeared.

The Pilates classes offered at Longcore Pilates are just what my body needed and needs to get back in touch with my core strength. Christine is knowledgeable, supportive and dedicated. She really makes Longcore Pilates for everybody and every body. She was able to modify exercises to accommodate injuries I have and include personal exercises to support healing. The studio offers a variety of classes and equipment and Christine is always offering ways to challenge yourself.

If you are reading this and thinking about taking a class this, do it! You won’t regret it.

I’m a 38 year old GUY living in Westerleigh Staten Island. I have a masters degree in sports medicine and am very into fitness. I work out at least 5 times a week, sometimes 6 or 7.

I was walking by this brand new building one day and saw this studio, it was bright and CLEAN but what caught my eye was these yellow ropes suspended from the ceiling. Honestly, I thought they were TRX’s, got pretty excited so I walked in.

I spoke to Christine who owns the studio and she explained that she had just opened a PILATES studio. In my mind, I was like UGHHH but she invited me to take a class and check it out.

When I showed up for my first class, I was slightly apprehensive but Christine was very welcoming and I was excited to get started. I filled out some paperwork (2 short pages) and I downloaded the APP. YES, there’s an app! It’s easy to use and has the schedule of classes, prices and easy to book.

My first class ROCKED!! I felt like she was going a little easy on me but we both established a good base fairly quickly.

Then YESTERDAY, I went back for a more advanced “Max” Class and I WORKED MUSCLES THAT I’VE ONLY READ ABOUT IN BOOKS. Haha, it was amazing. Christine can easily scale back her classes for beginners and is such a wealth of knowledge, she can REALLY spice it up for those of you who are up for a challenge.

Never in 20 years of working out did I ever think I’d do pilates. Yes, I thought it was more for girls, that it was kind of like Yoga; more about flexibility, breathing, etc. It turned out to be an EXCELLENT addition to my “exercise tool box”.

The instructor is VERY knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge with her clients. The studio is bright, and super clean. We take our shoes off at the door and clean each piece of machinery after use. She’s even got her own t-shirts for sale.

Needless to say I’m totally HOOKED on Pilates BECAUSE OF CHRISTINE and Longcore Pilates. What’s cool and different about this place is that you purchase CLASSES instead of paying for a membership, so if life gets in the way, you can skip a few days, take another class and not worry about when your membership expires.

I HIGHLY recommend Longcore Pilates to guys, girls, beginners, and the more advanced!
